As a Principal CNC Programmer , you will lead the planning, development and execution of manufacturing processes. You will collaborate with manufacturing engineers, product development engineers, and operations specialists to determine optimal manufacturing methods, develop manufacturing procedures, perform process validations and track/report the progress of assigned projects. As the Principal CNC Programmer you will also support development projects for DFM, new manufacturing technology integration, cost/continuous improvement.. This full-time onsite position is available to start immediately and is a great opportunity in the exciting medical device industry.

Draper, UT Schedule:
Monday- Friday Your responsibilities: Set up, program and run 3-5 axis CNC machining center to manufacture medical devices Follow documented procedures and work instructions to manufacture quality parts Develop machining fixtures for the manufacture of complex medical devices Conduct process validations, make process adjustments and assist in completion of PFMEAs. Aids in the selection of new manufacturing equipment Strong adherence to quality requirements per the QMS Follow safety standards Keep work station and environment organized and clean (5S) Support operations with troubleshooting of secondary processes e.g., laser marker, grit blaster, buffing tools, etc. Support manufacturing with primary operations of CNC equipment including set-ups, offsetting, and changeovers Develop CNC programs and fixturing for new product launches Support product development in the manufacture of prototype devices as needed Identify and participate in continuous improvement programs Perform other job-related duties as assigned
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in engineering technology or related discipline (Preferred) Machining certificate or trade school Experience specific to this position: 10+ years of experience in CNC manufacturing environment Orthopedics manufacturing experience, especially knees & hips Use of inspection equipment, e.g. calipers, microscope, optical measurement Experience machining castings, forgings, 3D printed components, stainless steel, cobalt, chrome, titanium, and other exotic alloys Operation of manual and coordinated measuring machines Experience with manual mill and lathe GibbsCam (Preferred) CREO or equivalent Cad/Cam system experience (Preferred) 5+ years experience with 5 axis milling/turning programming Macro programming & post building experience (Preferred) Advanced understanding of
