CNC Technician and CNC Programmer

Career Start is seeking CNC Technicians and CNC Programmers in Arlington, VT.

CNC Technician:

Pay :

$21.13 to $34.15 /hr based on experience - $1 shift differential for 2nd shift and $2 shift differential for 3rd shift 2nd

Shift:

Monday through Friday 3 PM to 1130 PM but can be very flexible on shift times to accommodate candidates 3rd

Shift:

Monday through Friday 11 PM to 7 AM but can be very flexible on shift times to accommodate candidates

Responsibilities of CNC Technician:

• Set up and operate CNC equipment including mills, lathes, and multi-axis machining centers
• Select and install tooling, attachments, and machine settings to ensure accurate production
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions
• Inspect finished parts using precision measuring tools to ensure quality standards are met
• Monitor machine operations and make adjustments to maintain efficiency and product quality
• Perform routine maintenance, cleaning, and minor repairs on CNC equipment
• Complete setup sheets and production documentation
• Identify defects, troubleshoot machining issues, and suggest process improvements

Requirements of CNC Technician:

• Experience operating and setting up CNC machining equipment
• Strong blueprint reading and technical drawing interpretation skills
• Familiarity with precision measuring tools and inspection equipment
• Ability to troubleshoot machining issues and make program adjustments
• Knowledge of MRP systems and manufacturing documentation preferred

CNC Programmer:

Pay :

$21.88 to $38.97/hr based on experience 1st

Shift:

Monday through Friday 7 AM to 330 PM but can be very flexible on shift times to accommodate candidates

Responsibilities of CNC Programmer:

• Create and modify CNC programs for 3-axis and 5-axis machining centers, mill-turn machines, and Swiss lathes using CAM software
• Select tooling, determine speeds and feeds, and optimize machining processes
• Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
• Troubleshoot machining issues and support production with program adjustments
• Perform first-piece inspections and ensure parts meet quality standards
• Develop setup sheets and maintain process documentation
• Recommend process improvements to reduce cycle times and scrap
• Train operators and support continuous improvement initiatives

Requirements of CNC Programmer:

• Experience operating and setting up CNC machining equipment
• 2 years of CNC programming or advanced CNC setup experience
• Experience with multi-axis machining centers
• Proficiency with CAM software such as SolidWorks, FeatureCAM, PartMaker, or similar
• Strong blueprint reading and G-code knowledge #IND123

Pay:

$21.00 - $39.00 per hour
