Island Machine, Inc. Company Overview Island Machine is an AS9100-certified precision CNC machine shop located in Everett, Washington, founded in 2005. The company specializes in complex prototype and high-mix, low-volume production machining for aerospace, tooling, and commercial customers. Capabilities include CNC milling, turning, Swiss machining, fixturing, and process development. The work involves challenging, tight-tolerance components that require creative problem-solving, process development, and close collaboration between programming, setup, and machining. Position Summary Island Machine is seeking a highly skilled Senior CNC Machinist / Programmer. This is a hands-on role for an experienced machinist who can take a job from print or model to finished part with minimal supervision. The ideal candidate will be a technical resource for the shop, mentor junior machinists, troubleshoot manufacturing challenges, and identify and implement process improvements. Required Qualifications Extensive CNC machining experience in a precision manufacturing environment Aerospace machining experience Expert setup and troubleshooting skills Ability to machine complex parts from print or model to completion Strong blueprint reading and GD&T interpretation skills Experience holding tight aerospace tolerances Strong fixturing experience, including custom fixtures and setup development Experience developing machining processes for prototype and production parts Proficiency with at least one professional CAM system and the ability to create and modify CNC programs independently Leadership, mentoring, or lead machinist experience Strong inspection and quality background Ability to work independently and make sound machining decisions Preferred Qualifications 15+ years of CNC machining experience Siemens NX CAM experience Prototype machining experience High-mix, low-volume job shop experience Process improvement experience Experience working in an AS9100 manufacturing environment Equipment & Technologies Mills Hyundai

Duo (5-Axis Mill-Turn) Responsibilities Program, setup, and prove out complex machining jobs Machine complex aerospace components to tight tolerances Interpret blueprints, CAD models, and manufacturing documentation Develop machining processes for prototype and production parts Design, build, and improve fixturing solutions Optimize machining processes for quality and efficiency Troubleshoot programming, setup, and machining issues Mentor and train junior machinists Support daily workflow and production priorities Maintain AS9100 quality standards Perform in-process inspections and first-piece approvals Collaborate with programmers, machinists, quality personnel, and management to solve manufacturing challenges Identify and implement process improvements throughout the shop Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate comes from a precision aerospace machining, prototype machining, or high-mix, low-volume job shop environment.
