Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated CNC Machinist/CNC Programmer to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, programming, operating, and maintaining CNC machines to produce high volume components that meet strict quality standards. Your expertise in CNC programming, tooling, and blueprint reading will drive efficiency and excellence in our machining processes. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with advanced manufacturing equipment and contribute to innovative projects in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Develop and modify CNC programs using CAM software such as Mastercam to optimize machining operations on CNC milling machines and CNC lathes Set up and operate CNC machines, ensuring proper tooling, fixtures, and calibration for each job Interpret complex blueprints, schematics, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), and technical drawings to produce accurate parts Conduct precision measurements using tools like bore gauges, micrometers, calipers, coordinate measuring machines (CMM), and bore gauges to verify dimensions and tolerances Perform routine maintenance on CNC equipment and troubleshoot issues related to electrical discharge machining (EDM), tooling, or machine calibration Implement lean manufacturing principles to improve workflow efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance quality control processes Maintain detailed documentation of machining parameters, inspection results, and process adjustments for quality assurance Experience Associate degree in machining; minimum 2+ years of CNC Machinist experience with emphasis on set up and operation Proven experience operating and programming CNC milling machines and CNC lathes in a manufacturing environment Strong knowledge of CAD software such as SolidWorks for creating or modifying part models Skilled in CNC programming languages including G-code and M-code; familiarity with Fanuc controls is a plus Hands-on experience with CAM programming software for toolpath generation-MasterCam Mechanical aptitude with understanding of tooling selection, geometry calculations, schematics, and mechanical drawings Familiarity with precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, dial indicators, and coordinate measuring machines (CMMs) Knowledge of lean manufacturing techniques to streamline operations and improve productivity Ability to read schematics and schematics diagrams accurately while adhering to safety standards Must be well organized and able to meet deadlines Detail orientated with the ability to multitask Strong written and verbal communication skills Join us if you're passionate about high volume production machining, eager to develop your skills in a cutting-edge environment, and ready to contribute to high-quality manufacturing solutions!
