Job Description

Konrad Corp is looking for an experienced CNC Programmer to join our engineering team here in Hudson, WI. Applicants are encouraged to have a degree in programming with a strong understanding of machining. Experience with SolidWorks a plus.
DESCRIPTION
Creates and modifies computer programs by converting project requirements into code.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Program machines in our in-house machine shop. Analyze drawings, sketches and design data of part to determine dimension and configuration of cuts, selection of cutting tools, and machine speeds and feed rates. Meets programming standards by following production, productivity and quality standards. Confirms project requirements by reviewing objectives, input data, and output requirements with supervisor, production personnel and/or quality as required. Determines machining instructions. Write instruction set up sheets and cutter lists to guide setup and operation of machine. Consults with machinist to determine proper tooling for project. Analyzes work travelers, drawings and other engineering data. Writes programs or modifies existing programs. Checks the program and runs a simulation to ensure the machines and programs operate correctly. Assists machinists as required. Identifies work process improvements. Contributes to team effort by performing other duties as required. Complies with quality processes, procedures and work instructions. Demonstrates awareness and understanding of quality policy and objectives. Select proper tooling, edit programs and adjust speeds and feeds to optimize and achieve production plans.
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Two year technical degree in machining applications, programming, CNC machining, or equivalent work experience. Programming experience in a job shop production environment. Proficiency in CAM Programming, CAD Modeling, and SolidWorks. CNC machining background A family owned company in business for over 50 years, we are an industrial manufacturer, building and refurbishing parts and equipment for rolling steel mills all over the country. This is a full time position with a full benefits package including 401k match as well as PTO and Holiday pay.
