Job Function:
Create, update, and maintain CNC programs for multiple machines, including complex 3D toolpaths. Set up and operate CNC machines to produce parts according to specifications. Read and interpret blueprints, models, and job specifications to develop machining programs. Select appropriate tooling, speeds, and feeds to optimize machining performance. Perform in-process inspections using precision measuring tools to ensure quality and tolerances. Troubleshoot and adjust programs and machine setups to resolve machining issues. Work closely with toolmakers and production personnel to improve efficiency and manufacturability. Complete required documentation, including setup sheets and program records. Comply with, and uphold all occupational safety policies, food safety policies, and work rules.
Basic requirements:
Strong knowledge of CAM software programs and CNC programming. Experience with 3D machining and programming. Hands-on experience with CNC setup and machine operation. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and job specifications. Ability to recognize quality and maintain tight tolerances. Good oral and written communication skills and ability to interact with team members. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations with limited standardization. Ability to complete documentation and reports using computer applications.
