This role is responsible for creating efficient machining strategies, selecting tooling and fixtures, supporting machine setups, and ensuring production meets quality and performance standards. The ideal candidate will have experience with CNC programming, CAD/CAM software, machining processes, and blueprint interpretation, along with a passion for continuous improvement and problem-solving. Key ResponsibilitiesCNC Programming Create, modify, and optimize CNC programs for a variety of machining centers and machine controllers Utilize CAD/CAM software and manual G-code programming techniques Develop efficient cutter paths to maximize productivity and quality Maintain programming documentation and revision control Compare and improve existing programs to reduce cycle times and increase efficiency Manufacturing Support Select tooling, fixtures, feeds, and speeds for machining operations Support machine setup activities and program prove-outs Troubleshoot machining and programming issues Provide technical support and setup guidance to operators and machinists Collaborate with manufacturing, engineering, and quality teams to improve processes Quality & Inspection Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and GD&T requirements Verify machined components meet dimensional and quality specifications Utilize precision measuring instruments including: Calipers Micrometers Indicators Height Gages Functional Gages Support first article and in-process inspections CMM experience is a plus QualificationsRequired High School Diploma or GED Experience with CNC programming and machining processes Proficiency with CAD/CAM software Working knowledge of G-code programming Strong blueprint reading and GD&T interpretation skills Experience selecting tooling and workholding solutions Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities Preferred Associate Degree or Technical Training in Machining, Manufacturing Technology, or related field Experience with multi-axis machining environments Experience supporting machine setup and prove-out activities CMM experience Continuous improvement or process optimization experience Skills CNC Programming CAD/CAM Software G-Code Programming Blueprint Reading GD&T Tooling & Fixtures Machine Setup Support Precision Measurement Manufacturing Operations Process Improvement What We're Looking For Detail-oriented and quality-focused Strong technical and analytical skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Effective communication and collaboration skills Continuous improvement mindset Passion for machining and manufacturing technology
