  • Full-time Overview We are seeking a highly skilled CNC Programmer to join our manufacturing team.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, testing, and optimizing CNC programs for various machining processes, ensuring precision and efficiency in production. This role requires strong technical expertise in CAD/CAM software, blueprint reading, and machining operations, with a focus on maintaining high-quality standards in a fast-paced environment. The CNC Programmer will collaborate closely with manufacturing engineers and machine operators to deliver accurate parts and components while adhering to safety and quality protocols. Responsibilities Develop and write CNC programs for milling machines, lathes, and other CNC equipment using CAM software such as Mastercam or CATIA. Interpret complex blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure accurate machining processes. Utilize CAD tools like SolidWorks and AutoCAD to assist in designing parts and fixtures. Set up and optimize CNC machines including Fanuc controllers, ensuring proper tooling, fixtures, and parameters are used. Perform precision measurements using calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, coordinate measuring machines (CMM), and other precision instruments to verify part dimensions. Troubleshoot machining issues related to tooling, geometry, or machine operation; implement corrective actions promptly. Apply lean manufacturing principles to improve process efficiency and reduce waste. Maintain detailed documentation of programs, setups, and modifications for quality control purposes. Collaborate with engineering teams on design modifications and process improvements to enhance manufacturing capabilities. Requirements Proven experience in CNC programming with proficiency in Fanuc controls. Strong knowledge of CAD/CAM software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, CATIA, and CAM programming tools. Familiarity with blueprint reading, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), schematics, and technical drawings. Experience working with CNC milling machines and CNC lathes; electrical discharge machining (EDM) knowledge is a plus. Mechanical knowledge of tooling, fixtures, machining processes, and precision measuring instruments including micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, bore gauges, CMMs, and dial indicators. Understanding of lean manufacturing principles to optimize production workflows. Ability to interpret schematics and schematics related to electrical or mechanical systems. Strong math skills relevant to machining calculations involving geometry and measurements. Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in a manufacturing environment. Prior experience working with CNC lathe machines and familiarity with schematics is preferred.
