Job Description

Job description Seeking qualified Industrial painters with knowledge and ability to Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times. Use a wet film thickness (WFT) gauge for coating applications, as it is mandatory for all painters at PPS Coatings. Inspect and evaluate surfaces to identify imperfections, defects, or damages. Remove old paint, dirt, or debris using appropriate methods such as sanding, scraping, or pressure washing. Repair cracks, holes, or other surface imperfections using filling materials, caulking, or putty. Apply masking materials to protect adjacent areas from paint overspray or drips.
Skill and Ability:
Demonstrates ability to coat 1000 sqft with 2% or less rework in 1 hour, with no holidays Demonstrates ability to set-up, tear down, and clean Paint Application Equipment properly Demonstrate knowledge of what the numbers on an Airless Spray Tip signify Demonstrates ability to mix coatings correctly according to provided data sheets Demonstrates basic knowledge of how to operate and repair Plural Machine Demonstrates knowledge to perform and explain a preventative maintenance check/inspection on pumps, hoses and guns Demonstrates ability to identify coating defects and how to correct them Demonstrates ability to calculate required WFT needed to achieve a desired DFT Demonstrates ability to measure WFT using wet film gauge Ability to identify and achieve

Ability to blast 150 sq/ft to an SP-10 in 1 hour Demonstrate knowledge of how to check the circumference of the nozzle for wear and determine its suitability for use. Demonstrates knowledge to perform and explain a preventative maintenance check/inspection on blast hose. (blown gasket, cracked coupler, soft spots etc.) Troubleshoot and repair field equipment (Blast pot, Dust collector, Vacuum, etc.)
