Job Description
MAACO Collision Repair and Auto Painting is looking for an experienced Painter's Helper to join our high-production collision repair and paint team. Candidates must be able to work at a production shop pace while maintaining a strong commitment to quality and attention to detail. We are a busy, well-established automotive body and paint facility with locations at: 2222 W Deer Valley Rd., Phoenix, AZ 85027 1992 E. University Dr., Tempe, AZ 85281 2124 E. Van Buren St., Phoenix, AZ 85006 We specialize in both fleet and retail collision repair and refinish work. Our production shops average 25+ vehicles painted each week, so we're looking for motivated individuals who thrive in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Prep vehicles for paint by sanding, feather edging, cleaning, and masking Perform quality masking to ensure clean lines Assist painters throughout the refinishing process Perform cut and buff (color sanding and polishing) on completed paint work if needed Complete minor painting and priming as directed Maintain a clean and organized work area Work efficiently while meeting production deadlines without sacrificing quality Requirements Previous automotive paint prep experience is required Experience with masking, prepping, sanding, and cut & buff Some automotive painting experience is preferred Ability to work within production schedules and deadlines Must be reliable, detail-oriented, and have a strong work ethic Must be punctual and possess excellent time management skills Willingness to follow instructions and maintain shop safety standards Ability to work as part of a team in a high-volume production environment Valid driver's license, clean driving record, reliable transportation, and legal authorization to work in the
