Job Description

Painter About Us:
Southwest Mobile Storage specializes in modifying storage containers for sale or lease. We take pride in our ability to provide high-quality, customized portable storage solutions while delivering outstanding customer service. We are seeking a reliable, self-motivated Painter to join our hardworking shop team, where communication and teamwork thrive. As a Painter, you will be responsible for preparing and painting manufactured parts and containers, ensuring all projects meet high-quality standards.
Responsibilities:
Prepare and paint manufactured parts and containers to meet quality standards. Mask surfaces to ensure accurate paint application. Repair dents or holes in parts prior to painting. Operate hand-held paint spray guns and rollers to apply paint and primer. Maintain cleanliness and safety of the paint department. Maintain, repair, and ensure proper functioning of all painting tools and equipment. Perform quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) on all painting projects. Follow industry safety protocols, including the use of respirators and personal protective equipment. Work efficiently in a team-oriented environment while meeting production deadlines.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to work in extreme weather conditions. Ability to work from ladders and heights. Must pass a medical evaluation and fit test for respirator use. Ability to lift heavy objects and materials as required. Physical stamina to squat, bend, and stand for extended periods.
Qualifications:
3-5 years of painting experience in a similar industrial or manufacturing environment. Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity. Mechanical skills, including the ability to operate and maintain paint sprayers. Knowledge of safety protocols and respirator usage. Ability to perform quality assurance and quality control checks on painted surfaces. Knowledge of color theory and painting application techniques. Ability to work independently and efficiently while following safety guidelines.
