  • PDS Defense, Inc. is seeking a skilled
  • Exterior Finisher / Painter
  • to join our team in Tucson, AZ. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and finishing aircraft surfaces to meet customer specifications and industry standards. This position requires attention to detail, adherence to safety protocols, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment..
  • Key Responsibilities
  • + Perform surface preparation on aircraft and component parts.
+ Apply primer, topcoat, and final spray finishes. + Polish and inspect painted surfaces to ensure a high-quality appearance. + Perform touch-ups and final detailing as needed. + Install sealant and erosion tape. + Document all work performed in accordance with applicable manuals and regulatory requirements. + Comply with environmental, health, and safety policies; participate in 5S activities. + Layout aircraft according to customer specifications.
  • Qualifications
  • + Minimum
  • 1 year of painting experience
  • (aviation, automotive, or marine preferred). + Ability to pass a
  • Pulmonary Function evaluation
  • for respirator certification.
+ Formal vocational training or equivalent experience. + Basic PC skills and ability to retrieve maintenance manuals and IPCs. + Knowledge of hazardous material handling regulations. + Ability to interpret mechanical engineering drawings. + Strong written and verbal communication skills. + Customer service experience and prior aviation work experience preferred.
