Shift:
1st Shift - 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM (Flexible with Overtime) Job description: Overview We are actively seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Painter / Powder Coater to join a fast-paced manufacturing team. Responsibilities As a Painter / Powder Coater, you will play a key role in the finishing process of manufactured products.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
Apply liquid paint and/or powder coatings to parts and assemblies per production routing and customer specifications Inspect finished products to verify adherence to dimensional specifications and aesthetic/quality standards Prepare surfaces prior to coating (cleaning, masking, racking, and pre-treatment as required) Rack and unrack parts for the powder coating line and handle product carefully to prevent damage during transit between operations Accurately complete all production and quality documentation in a timely manner, following good documentation practices Package and handle finished product in a manner that protects it from damage during movement throughout the facility Operate ERP and QMS computer systems to log production data with accurate input/output Read and interpret customer drawings and specifications to ensure coating meets required standards Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area at all times Identify and properly handle nonconforming product per established quality management procedures Support departmental KPIs including First Pass Yield (FPY), DPPM, and Cost of Quality metrics Work Environment Standing and walking throughout the shift in a production/manufacturing setting Occasional bending, reaching above and below shoulder level , and use of medium force for pushing, pulling, and grasping Lifting up to 25 lbs. regularly; assistance available for items over 35 lbs. Potential exposure to wet/humid conditions, heat, cold, and chemical agents — all appropriate PPE is provided Moderate noise level; PPE required and supplied by the employer Required Qualifications High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent OR 1-2 years of manufacturing/production experience Demonstrated ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately Strong attention to detail and quality-focused mindset Ability to work well in a team environment and communicate effectively with supervisors and coworkers Reliable attendance and punctuality Willingness to learn and adapt to changing priorities Preferred Qualifications Prior experience in powder coating, liquid painting, or industrial finishing Familiarity with masking, racking, and surface preparation techniques Basic computer skills for data entry in manufacturing ERP systems Ability to read simple manufacturing drawings or work orders Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
