Job Description

The Full-Time Painter/Bodyman will play a crucial role in our body shop by performing both body repair and painting tasks. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive skill set in both areas, including the ability to repair, restore, and paint vehicles to a high standard of quality. This role requires strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and a commitment to excellence. Key Responsibilities for
Painters:
Preparation:
Inspect vehicles to assess damage and determine the appropriate repair and painting procedures. Prepare surfaces for painting by sanding, cleaning, and masking areas not to be painted. Mix paint and other materials according to specifications to achieve the desired color and consistency.
Painting:
Apply primer, paint, and clear coat using spray guns and other equipment. Ensure even coverage and smooth finish by applying multiple coats as necessary. Conduct color matching and blending to ensure the painted surface matches the existing color.
Finishing:
Inspect finished work for quality and make any necessary touch-ups. Remove masking tape and protective coverings once the paint has dried. Clean and maintain painting equipment and work areas to ensure a safe and efficient work environment. Key responsibilities for
Body Repair:
Inspect and assess vehicle damage to determine the necessary repair procedures. Perform body repairs, including panel replacements, dent removal, and frame straightening. Use a variety of tools and equipment, such as hydraulic jacks, welders, and pneumatic tools, to complete repairs. Sand and prepare surfaces for painting, including the removal of rust and old paint.
