In this role, you will be responsible for preparing surfaces, applying high-quality polyurethane coatings, and ensuring that finished products meet strict quality standards. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude, proficiency with spray equipment, and a commitment to safety and precision. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to the production of durable, aesthetically appealing products through expert finishing techniques. We are also open to a driven enthusiastic individual looking for a rewarding career. We will train and send to school. Responsibilities Operate Graco 2-part Spray machines and other application equipment to apply polyurethane coatings with precision. Use hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment to support surface preparation and finishing processes. Handle materials safely within warehouse environments, including materials handling and proper storage of chemicals. Maintain adherence to all safety protocols by consistently using personal protective equipment such as respirators, PPE suits, gloves, and eye protection. Conduct visual color comparisons and quality inspections to verify coating consistency and finish standards. Support maintenance of machinery to ensure optimal operation. Follow lean manufacturing principles to optimize workflow efficiency while maintaining high-quality output. Collaborate with team members on assembly or fabrication tasks that require skilled coating application. Skills Mechanical knowledge related to spray equipment operation. Familiarity with quality standards in production environments to ensure consistent finish quality. Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, forklifts, and other machinery safely. Knowledge of spray gun cleaning and reseal. (Will train if necessary) Knowledge of materials handling procedures within warehouse or manufacturing settings. Competence in using precision measuring instruments and basic math for accurate coating application. Experience with lean manufacturing practices aimed at reducing waste while maintaining high standards. Ability to work effectively in a team environment while adhering strictly to respiratory protection protocols and PPE use. This role is essential for delivering high-quality finishes on our products while maintaining a safe work environment.
