In this role, you will be responsible for preparing surfaces, applying paint and coatings, and ensuring high-quality finishes across residential projects. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects that require precision, creativity, and a strong commitment to safety and quality. Duties Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, caulking, plastering, and applying primer to ensure optimal adhesion and finish quality Use a variety of hand tools, power tools, spray equipment (including airless paint sprayers) to apply paints, stains, varnishes, and other coatings Interpret technical drawings, schematics, blueprints, and color schemes to accurately execute project specifications Apply paint using conventional spraying techniques or brush and roller methods for residential projects Follow safety regulations diligently by utilizing respiratory protection gear and adhering to proper handling procedures for hazardous materials Perform touch-ups and repairs on existing painted surfaces during renovation or maintenance projects to ensure lasting quality Collaborate with team members to coordinate project timelines and meet client expectations Skills Extensive knowledge of construction estimating related to painting projects and material requirements Strong understanding of color theory for selecting appropriate shades and finishes that meet design specifications Proficiency in interpreting detailed project plans Skilled in surface preparation techniques including plastering, caulking Experience with residential painting or coating applications using various tools such as brushes, rollers, spray guns (including airless sprayers) Familiarity with safety regulations governing construction sites; capable of implementing safety protocols including respiratory protection measures Basic math skills for measuring areas accurately and estimating quantities of paint or materials needed Knowledge of maintenance procedures related to painting equipment and surface treatments Join our team if you're passionate about transforming spaces with expert craftsmanship!
