In this vital role, you will be responsible for applying high-quality paint finishes to a variety of vehicles, ensuring each one meets our rigorous standards for appearance and durability. Your skills will help transform damaged or aged vehicles into pristine works of art, delighting customers and elevating our reputation for excellence. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with advanced auto body repair techniques, state-of-the-art painting equipment, and a passionate team dedicated to automotive excellence. Duties Prepare vehicle surfaces by sanding, grinding, and cleaning to ensure optimal paint adhesion. Apply primer, base coats, clear coats, and touch-up paint using airless paint spraying equipment and hand tools. Perform auto body repairs including welding and minor panel replacements to restore vehicle structure before painting. Use buffing machines and polishing compounds to achieve a flawless finish on painted surfaces. Conduct auto glass removal and replacement when necessary prior to painting procedures. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly stored and calibrated. Assist with vehicle detailing and minor mechanical tasks related to paint preparation or restoration projects. Skills Proven dealership experience or extensive background in auto body repair and auto painting. Strong mechanical knowledge combined with hands-on experience using hand tools, power tools, and auto repair equipment. Skilled in welding techniques essential for auto restoration projects. Knowledge of vehicle maintenance procedures relevant to prepping vehicles for painting. Expertise in auto glass removal/replacement, detailing, buffing, and auto estimating processes. Familiarity with airless paint spraying systems, heavy lifting techniques, and the use of auto-specific power tools.
