About the Role We're looking for a detail-oriented Painter who takes pride in precision finishing and supporting high-quality aerospace manufacturing at Budney Aerospace. In this role, you'll prepare, mask, and apply coatings to complex aerospace components while ensuring compliance with strict customer specifications and internal quality standards. This position requires strong attention to detail, technical skill, and the ability to follow detailed work instructions in a fast-paced shop environment.   • Binks 2001/2001V spray gun
  • EGHV-531 HVLP
    spray gun
  • Devilbiss KB II two-quart pressure cup Check and adjust coating viscosity using proper techniques Perform Eddy Current testing of HAE coatings in accordance with
EIS 1120 & EIS
11821, including proper recording procedures Perform touch-up processes such as chrome pickle as required Use and maintain respirator equipment (Survivair Air Purifying Respirator
  • Premier Model) Interpret travelers and operation sheets and perform all work accordingly Maintain responsibility and accountability for the quality of all work performed Ensure all production travelers are properly completed, including sequencing, signatures, and documentation Safely handle parts and components to prevent damage Perform preventive maintenance on equipment Properly use and care for calibrated measuring instruments and ensure timely return for calibration Maintain adherence to production schedules and workflow priorities Follow all safety requirements and maintain clean, organized work areas Perform additional duties as assigned What You Bring Required High school diploma or equivalent Ability to follow detailed instructions and work in a manufacturing/shop environment Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality Preferred 1-2 years of painting experience with complex aerospace parts Experience with spray equipment, coating application, and surface preparation Ability to learn technical processes and equipment operation on the job Physical Requirements Ability to regularly lift 30-50 pounds Ability to perform repetitive tasks throughout the workday Manual dexterity to handle tools and assemble or manipulate small components accurately Ability to stand for extended periods and perform bending, reaching, and grasping Specific vision abilities required: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment Ability to safely wear a respirator and pass pulmonary function testing Pre-Employment Requirements Background check Alcohol and drug screening Pulmonary function exam Respirator fit test Growth & Development Opportunity to develop advanced aerospace coating and inspection skills Exposure to industry standards and specialized finishing processes Hands-on experience with precision equipment and measurement tools Long-term growth potential within aerospace manufacturing We welcome applicants of all backgrounds, experiences, and identities.
