Manual spray experience preferred. SG100, 3MB, DJ/HVOF, WC-Co coatings, grinding/finishing knowledge valued. We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Thermal Sprayer to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for applying coatings to various metal and industrial components using advanced thermal spraying techniques. Your expertise will help ensure the durability, corrosion resistance, and aesthetic quality of our products. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge equipment in a fast-paced, safety-focused environment. The ideal candidate is energetic, precise, and eager to contribute to high-quality manufacturing processes. Duties Operate thermal spray equipment to apply coatings on metal parts, ensuring consistent coverage and quality standards Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, or masking prior to coating application using hand tools and surface preparation techniques Set up and calibrate spray guns, nozzles, and related machinery for optimal performance Monitor coating thickness using precision measuring instruments and adjust parameters as needed for accuracy Maintain a clean work area by handling materials properly and disposing of waste according to safety protocols Conduct routine inspections of equipment such as cranes, forklifts, and power tools to ensure safe operation Collaborate with fabrication, machining, and assembly teams to meet production schedules while adhering to safety guidelines Perform basic maintenance on spray equipment and troubleshoot issues promptly to minimize downtime Follow safety procedures related to industrial painting, auto body repair techniques, and materials handling Skills Proficiency with forklift operation and warehouse experience for material movement and storage Strong mechanical knowledge of manufacturing machinery, power tools, welding equipment, and auto painting tools Experience with airless paint spraying, auto body repair, and industrial or construction painting techniques Ability to use precision measuring instruments such as calipers or gauges for quality control Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles to optimize workflow efficiency Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and fabrication techniques Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and process adjustments Familiarity with crane operation for lifting heavy components safely Understanding of materials handling procedures in a manufacturing environment This role is vital in delivering high-quality coated products that meet rigorous industry standards.
