Sign Pro, Inc. - Plantsville, CT. Sign Pro, Inc. is seeking a dedicated and experience Painter to joint our team on a "per diem" , part-time or full time basis who is capable of painting custom fabricated signs in a state of the art spray booth. Paint on aluminum, PVC, acrylic, etc. You must be skilled with automotive-style paints, knowledgeable in prep and finish, able to produce high quality spray booth finishes and maintain booth and equipment. Color-match, mix, paint on a variety of substrates and manufactured assemblies. Familiarity with color systems and related paint mix tools and software a plus. Must be able to read and follow written work orders and design proof specifications. Responsibilities prepare surfaces to be coated by using various methods (abrasive blasting, orbital sander, Scotch-Brite) to remove grease, dirt and rust Review work orders and design artwork/blueprints/specification sheets to ensure that required materials are available before starting work order. Proper processing of work order including documentation for accuracy, contacting supervisor for follow-up information, and recording time spent on project on labor time card. monitor extractors, drying fans and heaters mix colors to meet the requirements of the customer spray coatings onto manufactured products to provide high quality finished surfaces move items to drying areas and unload and stack them for further painting or packaging operate paint mixing equipment touch up defective areas of painted items clean nozzles, containers and hoses of equipment Ensure that each door is shut and/or locked, all lights are off, and all equipment is properly secured and activate alarm system.
