RV Roof Technician The Opportunity At The RV Shop, we believe world-class RVs deserve world-class protection. As an RV Roof Technician, you'll play a critical role in applying premium spray-on roof coating systems that help extend the life, durability, and performance of our customers' RVs. This position is focused on the preparation, application, and finishing of a specialized 3-layer spray coating system designed to restore and protect RV roofs. This is an opportunity to apply your hands-on experience in spray foam insulation, industrial coatings, roofing, automotive paint, or similar spray-application trades in a stable, full-time role with consistent hours and performance-based earning potential. You'll work within our growing roof coating division while supporting additional production needs as required. Your craftsmanship, attention to detail, and commitment to safety will directly impact customer satisfaction, operational efficiency, and our reputation for excellence. What You'll Do ➢
Perform Paint & Finish Work:
Prepare, paint, and finish RV surfaces, including full-panel repairs, color matching, stripes, decals, and custom design work. ➢ Prepare Surfaces for
Painting:
Sand, mask, tape, prime, and prep surfaces to ensure proper adhesion and a high-quality final finish. ➢
Apply Automotive-Grade Paint Systems:
Safely use spray guns, paint booths, and related equipment to apply basecoat, clearcoat, and specialty finishes in accordance with company and industry standards. ➢
Install & Align Decals and Graphics:
Apply and align decals, stripes, and graphics with precision to match factory appearance and customer expectations. ➢
Inspect and Deliver Quality Work:
Perform detailed visual inspections to ensure color consistency, clean lines, smooth finishes, and overall workmanship meet The RV Shop's standards. ➢
Support Production Operations:
Assist with additional shop and production tasks as needed to support workflow and operational efficiency. ➢
Follow Safety Procedures:
Properly wear and utilize respirators and personal protective equipment while working with paints, solvents, and other shop materials. ➢
Maintain Organization:
Keep paint areas, tools, equipment, and materials clean, organized, and production-ready at all times. ➢ Collaborate with the
Team:
Communicate effectively with team members and leadership regarding project status, material needs, and scheduling. ➢
Support Shop Operations:
Contribute to overall shop success by assisting with related tasks and maintaining a positive, team-oriented work environment. Who You Are ➢ Experienced in automotive painting, collision repair, custom paint, or similar refinishing trades. ➢ Skilled in applying paint, clearcoat, stripes, decals, and custom graphics with precision and consistency. ➢ Comfortable operating spray guns, paint booths, sanding equipment, and other automotive refinishing tools. ➢ Able and willing to wear respirators and required personal protective equipment for extended periods. ➢ Quality-driven, with strong attention to detail and pride in delivering clean, professional finishes. ➢ A dependable team player who works efficiently and communicates well with others. ➢ Able to work with urgency while maintaining safety and quality standards. ➢ Experience with RV painting, decals, stripes, or graphics is a plus, but not required. ➢ Someone who understands that RVs are valuable investments and should be treated with care and professionalism.
