Aircraft Component Refinishing Painter Confidential Fort Lauderdale, FL Job Details Full-time $18 - $21 an hour 1 hour ago Qualifications Fabrication Forklift Shop math Manufacturing facility Materials handling Manufacturing Spray guns (painting, coating and spraying tool) Full Job Description We are a Part 145 component repair station. We overhaul and repair instruments, accessories, and avionics at the bench level. You'll refinish overhauled components to OEM and repair-spec standards before release, producing clean, repeatable finishes on small parts and housings. This is precision bench work, not large-surface or production-line painting.
Responsibilities Prep components for finish:
clean, degrease, sand, mask, and prime Apply primer and topcoat using HVLP/conventional spray equipment Match colors and finishes to OEM and repair documentation Inspect finished parts visually and to spec for coverage, thickness, and quality Maintain the finishing area, equipment, PPE, and OSHA/hazmat compliance Requirements Industrial, automotive, or aircraft spray-finish experience (not residential/house painting) Proficiency with spray guns and surface prep on small parts Able to read and follow finish specs and repair documentation Basic math for coating thickness and measurements Strong attention to detail and consistent quality Preferred Aviation or MRO component refinishing background Familiarity with mil-spec primers/topcoats and conversion coating (Alodine/chromate) prep To Apply Submit your resume through Indeed.
