Secondary duties include shipping preparation including packaging, strapping, and loading heavy equipment via forklift.
Responsibilities:
Prepare surfaces for painting by removing old paint, rust, and contaminants through sanding, scraping, and chemical treatments. Mix and apply paints, varnishes, and other coatings using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment, ensuring even and consistent coverage. Understand and follow safety protocols and best practices for painting in an industrial environment. Inspect and assess the quality of completed work, making adjustments as necessary to meet quality standards. Maintain painting equipment and tools, ensuring they are in working condition and properly cleaned. Collaborate with other team members and departments to complete projects on time and within specifications. Packaging and preparing equipment or parts for shipment Loading large loads onto truck beds via forklift Requirements Trained in Forklift Operation Two (2) years' previous industrial painting experience Familiarity with packaging, strapping, and material handling Excellent organizational and planning skillsPhysical Requirements:
Able to stand for long periods Able to sit for long periods Able to climb ladders/truck beds/steps Able to Crawl, crouch, kneel and stoop to paint, to paint, tape, or package equipment Able to withstand outdoor temps for extended periods while wearing PPE Able to wear a respirator for extended periods while painting/sandblasting Able to lift 75 lbs.
