Job Description:

A Composite Technician will remove, replace, repair, build or duplicate various aircraft components within a shop environment requiring composite repair or replacement on fiberglass, honeycomb and metal bonding with the use of special tooling and equipment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Treat and prepare sheetmetal (alodine and prime) for bonding purposes. Perform work on assigned aircraft including assembly, repair, and modification as qualified while adhering to FAA regulations. Working knowledge of all aspects of composite repair, composition and characteristics of metals, fiberglass, kevlars, carbon fibers, resins and adhesives. Hot Bond Knowledge required. Maintain and store various tools in a serviceable condition. Remove, Replace or Repair various aircraft components. Adhere to safe maintenance practices and keep a clean work area. Successfully complete any courses deemed necessary by the training department. Perform any work that may be assigned by his or her supervisor. Requirements 2+ years of composites experience on commercial aircraft Ability to use on site hot bond machines Basic knowledge of composite hybrid materials and usage. Ability & willingness to assist, guide and train others in performing aircraft composite maintenance.
