Job Description

Job Description Insight Global is seeking paint and gelcoat specialists to join one of their clients in Valdosta, Georgia. This organization is focused on developing world-class Uncrewed Surface Vessels (USVs) for defense and security missions. Built to operate in complex maritime environments, these platforms deliver advanced autonomy, mission-ready payloads, and scalable capability to support operations ranging from ISR and maritime domain awareness to contested and high-risk missions. Our customer needs paint and gelcoat specialists who will be responsible for finishing and surface repair on unmanned surface vessels. This role owns the process from surface preparation through final finish in a controlled paint environment. What You Will Do
  •  Lead by example on safety and compliance
  •  Maintain a clean, organized, and safe paint workspace
  •  Ensure proper use of PPE, tools, and material handling equipment
  •  Manage paint materials, chemicals, and storage processes
  •  Operate and maintain automated paint system equipment
  •  Perform epoxy paint application and finishing
  •  Apply and finish gelcoat when required
  •  Complete surface preparation, coating, and final finishing
  •  Repair cosmetic or finish damage on completed or in process vessels
  •  Follow defined finishing standards for durability and quality
  •  Complete ISPC documentation for quality and safety
  •  Identify and report equipment or quality issues
  •  Support prototyping, new model reviews, and process improvements

  •  Five or more years of boat finishing or automotive paint experience
  •  Ability to follow technical finish documentation
  •  Familiarity with OSHA and ISO9001 environments
  •  High school diploma or equivalent Physical and Work Environment
  •  Prolonged standing and walking in industrial environments
  •  Ability to lift up to 25 pounds regularly
  •  Use of PPE in designated areas
