Job description: Join our dynamic manufacturing team located at SHERROD Customs in Waycross GA, as an Experienced Paint Prep Specialist on the Week End Day Shift shift , Fri
  • Sun•6am•6 pm ( 36-40 hrs).
You will be working on brand new trucks . In this vital role, you'll be at the forefront of preparing surfaces for customized painting by expertly sanding, blocking, taping, masking, and bagging components. Your attention to detail and mechanical aptitude will ensure high-quality finishes on a variety of products. Duties Perform surface preparation tasks including sanding, blocking, taping, masking, and bagging to ensure optimal paint adhesion and finish quality Use hand tools, power tools, and liquid mask product spraying equipment to prepare parts for painting processes. Handle materials safely and efficiently within a manufacturing environment. Assist with disassembly/ assembly tasks related to paint prep components as needed. Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas to meet safety and quality standards Follow detailed work instructions and quality check procedures throughout the prep process Support auto body repair techniques when necessary to achieve precise surface finishes This role requires a motivated individual who is detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and eager to contribute to high-quality production standards. Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and energetic Experienced Paint Prep Technician to join our second shift team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing surfaces for painting by performing sanding, blocking, taping, masking, bagging, and other surface preparation tasks. Your expertise will ensure that finished products meet the highest quality standards and are ready for the painting process.
