The ideal candidate will have a strong background in powder coating area and fabrication, with experience using various tools and equipment. This role is essential for ensuring high-quality finishes on products and requires attention to detail, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to work efficiently under pressure. Duties Prepare surfaces for powder coating by cleaning, sanding, or applying primer as necessary. Operate powder coating equipment and electrode magnetic systems to apply coatings evenly and accurately. Utilize hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments to ensure proper application and finish quality. Conduct quality inspections of coated products to identify defects or inconsistencies. Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times. Collaborate with team members to optimize production processes and implement lean manufacturing practices. Assist in materials handling and warehouse operations as needed, including the use of forklifts and cranes for moving heavy items. Participate in assembly tasks when required, ensuring that all components meet specifications. Requirements Proven experience in powder coating, electrode magnetic systems and wash bays. Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in manufacturing or machining environments. Familiarity with welding techniques and fabrication processes is a plus. Ability to operate forklifts, cranes, and other materials handling equipment safely. Proficient in basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to coatings and materials. Experience with lean manufacturing principles is highly desirable. Strong attention to detail with the ability to perform precise measurements using appropriate instruments. Excellent teamwork skills with a proactive approach to problem-solving in a fast-paced environment.
