Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic manufacturing team as a Powder Coater, where you'll play a vital role in applying high-quality finishes to metal components and products. Duties Operate powder coating equipment, including airless paint sprayers and automated systems, ensuring even and consistent application of coatings. Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, or masking to ensure optimal adhesion of powder coatings. Use hand tools and power tools for surface preparation, assembly, and minor fabrication tasks. Handle materials efficiently using forklifts and cranes to move parts within the workspace safely. Maintain cleanliness of work area and equipment to uphold safety standards and product quality. Conduct inspections with precision measuring instruments to verify coating thickness and surface quality. Assist with auto body repair techniques and industrial painting processes as needed for various projects. Experience Prior experience in manufacturing or industrial painting environments preferred. Mechanical knowledge related to machinery operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting. Familiarity with fabrication processes such as welding, machining, or assembly is advantageous. Warehouse experience including materials handling with forklifts or cranes is highly desirable. Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to coating thickness and project specifications. Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles to promote efficiency and waste reduction. $23.00 - $35.00 per hour
