In this energetic role, you will be responsible for applying high-quality powder coating finishes to a variety of metal components, ensuring durability, aesthetics, and compliance with safety standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with advanced industrial powder coating equipment, develop your skills in part prep, coating, and contribute to the production of top-tier products. Responsibilities Prepare metal parts and assemblies for powder coating by cleaning, masking, and ensuring proper surface preparation using hand tools and sandblasting equipment. Operate powder coating booths, airless paint sprayers, and other industrial painting machinery to apply coatings evenly and efficiently. Use forklifts, and other materials handling equipment to move heavy parts safely within the production area. Inspect finished products using precision measuring instruments and visual checks to ensure coating quality meets specifications. Follow lean manufacturing principles to optimize workflow, reduce waste, and improve overall process efficiency. Document production activities accurately in logs and reports while adhering to safety protocols at all times. Skills (preferred but not required) Proficiency with forklift operation for efficient materials movement. Mechanical knowledge related to manufacturing processes, machining, fabrication, auto body repair, auto painting, welding, and use of hand tools. Experience with powder coating techniques and curing processes. Familiarity with powder coating standards and materials handling procedures. Ability to use precision measuring instruments for quality control purposes. Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles to support continuous improvement efforts.
