Aircraft Painter (Aviation / Aerospace Painter)
Job Description:
Join a leading aerospace team supporting Bombardier business jet programs in Wichita, KS. We are seeking an experienced Aircraft Painter / Aviation Painter to perform surface preparation, spray painting, and finishing on corporate aircraft, including Global and Challenger platforms. This position plays a key role in delivering high-quality finishes on large aircraft structures in a production environment. Perform surface preparation, sanding, masking, and cleaning of aircraft prior to paint application primer, topcoat, and aerospace coatings using spray equipment (HVLP preferred) Mask, unmask, and protect sensitive aircraft areas including windows and components Remove existing coatings, contaminants, and residues using approved methods and materials Perform bodywork including putty application, sanding, buffing, and polishing chemical treatments such as Alodine to aircraft surfaces Execute touch-up and refinishing work to meet quality standards Read and interpret engineering drawings and work instructions Document completed work per Inspection Procedures Manual (IPM) Support aircraft movement and assist other team members as required all safety, quality, and production guidelines in a regulated aerospace environment Qualifications Minimum 5 years of experience as an Aircraft Painter, Aviation Painter, or Aerospace Painter Experience painting full aircraft or large structures (corporate jets preferred) Strong background in surface preparation, masking, priming, and spray painting Experience with HVLP spray systems and industrial/aerospace coatings preferred Automotive painting experience accepted only if it includes full-body or large-scale work Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications Flexibility to work different shifts as required High attention to detail and commitment to quality Additional Information Why Join Us Work on high-end corporate aircraft (Global and Challenger jets) Competitive compensation with per diem and relocation support if applicable Long-term opportunity within the aerospace industry Clean, safety-focused, and professional work environment Hiring Process Phone interview with recruiter Interview with hiring manager Offer and onboarding process Background check and DOT drug screening Start date confirmed This position is located in Wichita, KS (near Mid-Continent Airport- ICT).
