Life Insurance 401(k) matching Dental insurance Free uniforms Health insurance Paid time off Vision insurance We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Commercial Spray Painter to join our team. This position is responsible for operating spray equipment to apply industrial coatings to commercial trucks, trailers, and parts. The goal is to achieve high-quality finishes while maintaining safety, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
Essential Job Functions:
Receives instructions verbally or from layouts of detailed prints. Operate spray painting for both primer and finish coats and media blasting equipment. Exercises care to apply paint to specified thickness and avoid runs, especially during the application of finish coats that must meet company and paint manufacturers standards and specifications. Prepare surfaces for painting by performing various tasks including, dismantling equipment, washing/rinsing, drying, removing masking, additional masking, tacking, sanding, re-assembling equipment, hand buffing, polishing and cleaning. Handle material movement in and out of painting and blasting areas; position parts for coating and drying. Mix and measure paints and coatings to specifications. Clean spray room, adjusts and cleans spray guns, pumps, and tanks as required. Operates a variety of tools and equipment as needed, including paint brushes, spray guns, pumps, spray booths, air make-up units, solvent recovery machines, power sanders, electric lift trucks, and other shop machinery. Monitor inventory shelf life of coatings and ensure proper use and tracking of materials. Perform quality checks to ensure paint integrity and consistency. Follow safety protocols, including proper ladder use and respiratory protection. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Assist with other duties as assigned.
