Powder coat Painter

Surface Preparation:

Clean, sand, degrease, and mask parts (steel, aluminum, etc.) to ensure proper powder adhesion.

Equipment Operation:

Set up, operate, and troubleshoot spray guns, booths, ovens, and conveyor lines.

Powder Application:

Select correct powder, apply evenly and accurately according to specifications, and monitor for flaws like orange peel or fish eyes.

Curing:

Load parts into ovens, controlling temperature and timing for proper curing.

Quality Control:

Inspect finished parts for consistency, coverage, and adherence to standards; identify and correct defects.

Material Handling:

Load/unload parts, hang/remove from lines, and organize finished items.

Maintenance:

Clean and maintain all painting equipment, booths, and work areas.

Safety & Compliance:

Follow all safety protocols (PPE, chemical handling), follow work orders, and complete necessary documentation.

Essential Skills & Requirements:

Physical stamina (standing, lifting) and fine motor skills. Attention to detail and consistency. Ability to follow complex instructions and safety guidelines. Problem-solving skills for equipment or application issues. Experience in manufacturing/industrial environments (often preferred).

Work Environment:

Fast-paced, manufacturing plants. Physically demanding, often hot, with repetitive tasks. Requires wearing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
