Full Job Description Benefits:
Competitive salary Employee discounts Paid time off Training & development Our body shop painters prepare surfaces for painting, mixes and applies paint to match a vehicle's color, and performs quality checks to ensure a high-quality finish. Key duties include sanding, masking, and priming vehicles, using spray guns, maintaining tools and the work area, following safety and OSHA guidelines, and managing paint inventory. Must be able available some weekends. We are looking to add someone to our team who is punctual and ready to work.
Key responsibilities Surface preparation:
Strip, sand, clean, fill, mask, and prime vehicle surfaces to prepare them for painting.
Paint mixing and application:
Mix paints to match factory or customer specifications, using color charts and computerized systems, then apply them evenly with a spray gun.
Quality control:
Inspect painted surfaces for imperfections like runs or sags, and buff or polish between coats to ensure a smooth finish.
Equipment maintenance:
Keep all tools, spray guns, and the paint booth clean and in proper working order.
Safety and compliance:
Adhere to all safety protocols, including wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE) like a respirator, and properly handle and dispose of hazardous waste.
Inventory management:
Manage and inventory paint and refinish supplies to ensure adequate stock.
