Position Overview:

As part of the talented Lowe Boats team as a Painter, you will prepare, mask, and spray surfaces of aluminum boats with primer and enamel topcoat. At Brunswick, we have passion for our work and a distinct ability to deliver.

Essential Functions:

• Applies masking tape over parts and areas that are not to be coated.
• Selects and mixes coating liquid to produce desired color. Pours coating liquid into spray container and connects gun to air hose. Turns sprayer valves and nozzle to regulate width and pressure of spray. Pulls trigger and directs spray onto work surface to apply prime or finish coat.
• Cleans spraying equipment with solvent.
• Responsible for following the quality systems procedures.

Required Qualifications:

• Self-starter, team player with a good safety awareness
• Requires standing, bending and twisting for a 10-hour shift

Preferred Qualifications:

• High School diploma or GED preferred
• Previous experience in painting, autobody or applicable training preferred

Working Conditions:

• May be required to work in a non-air-conditioned area
• Regularly required to work at heights on platforms, lifting parts and pieces up to 50 lbs.
• Exposed to noise, dust, fumes and odors daily.
• PPE required: Hearing protection, vision protection, safety toe shoes, safety gloves, respirator

The actual base pay offered will vary depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, relevant experience, business needs, and geographic location. In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for 2% annual productivity bonus. At Brunswick, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top end of the salary range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent upon the specifics of the candidate's qualifications and the business context.
