Lead Industrial Painter WB Industries - O'Fallon, Missouri WB Industries is seeking an experienced Lead Industrial Painter to join our team. We are a growing manufacturer serving the commercial and aerospace industries, producing high quality precision-fabricated components for demanding applications. This is a hands-on role for an individual who takes pride in quality workmanship, maintains exceptional organization, and can effectively lead and develop a small team. Position Summary The Lead Industrial Painter is responsible for overseeing daily department operations, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to customer specifications. This role combines hands on painting responsibilities with team leadership, documentation management, and inventory control. Responsibilities Lead, train, and motivate a team of 1-5 employees Coordinate and prioritize daily department activities to meet production schedules Perform and oversee industrial painting processes and finishing operations Maintain accurate production records, work orders, and quality documentation Ensure strict compliance with customer, commercial, and aerospace specifications Monitor and maintain paint materials, supplies, and inventory levels Conduct inventory counts and coordinate replenishment of department consumables Inspect finished products for quality and adherence to standards Promote and enforce safe work practices and housekeeping standards Collaborate with production, quality, and project teams to ensure on-time delivery Qualifications Minimum 3-5 years of industrial painting experience, preferable in manufacturing environments Previous leadership experience supervising teams of 1-5 employees Strong organizational and time-management skills Excellent attention to detail and documentation accuracy Experience with inventory control and material management Ability to read and interpret work instructions, specifications, and technical documentation Strong communication and problem-solving skills Forklift and overhead crane experience is a plus Experience in commercial, aerospace, or precision manufacturing environments is preferred What We're Looking For The ideal candidate is: A self-starter who leads by example Highly organized and detailed-oriented Committed to quality and continuous improvement Able to balance hands-on work with leadership responsibilities Dependable, safety-focused, and team-oriented Join WB Industries and become part of a company that values craftsmanship, teamwork, and excellence in manufacturing for the commercial and aerospace industries.
