Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Industrial Painter to join our dynamic manufacturing team. This position is responsible for preparing and painting dust collectors, fabricated metal components, and related equipment. The ideal candidate will have experience with industrial painting processes, strong attention to detail, and a commitment to quality and safety. Job Responsibilities Prepare metal surfaces for painting through cleaning, sanding, grinding, sandblasting, masking, and other surface preparation techniques. Apply primers, paints, and protective coatings to dust collectors, fabricated metal components, and related equipment using spray equipment and other application methods. Follow paint specifications, work instructions, and quality standards to ensure proper coating thickness, coverage, and finish quality. Inspect surfaces before and after painting to identify defects, touch-up needs, or quality concerns. Mix and prepare paints, coatings, and solvents according to manufacturer specifications. Maintain paint booth equipment, spray guns, and work areas in a clean and safe condition. Move and position parts and equipment for painting using overhead cranes, forklifts, or other material handling equipment (as trained and authorized). Comply with all safety procedures related to painting operations, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Work collaboratively with production personnel to meet quality and delivery schedules. Preferred Skills & Qualifications Previous experience as an industrial, manufacturing, automotive, or powder coat painter preferred. Knowledge of surface preparation techniques and paint application methods. Experience operating spray painting equipment and related tools. Ability to read and follow work instructions, paint specifications, and production schedules. Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality finishes. Ability to safely handle paints, coatings, solvents, and related materials. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand, bend, reach, and work in a manufacturing environment throughout the shift. Forklift and overhead crane experience is a plus but not required. Basic understanding of workplace safety practices and PPE requirements.
