Role:
Sprays surface of machines and/or parts, manufactured products, or working area with protective or decorative material such as urethane and/ polyurethane paints. The hours for this position are Monday - Thursday 3:00 pm to 1:45 am. Fridays will be based on production needs. Occasional Saturdays are possible, depending on production needs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Must have basic automotive painter knowledge. Basic spray gun operation, basic paint equipment knowledge and repairs, basic spraying techniques. Spray equipment (2KS paint mixing systems, spray guns, pumps, pressure pots, spray gun cleaning station, paint kitchen area, booths ad ovens). Applying paint, mixing paint ratios Taping or masking areas Set up load/unload paint booths and ovens. Touch up equipment, panel painting or blending the area. Basic non-hazardous and hazardous waste training and disposal Must be willing to prep machines and/or parts to be painted. Knowledge of basic operation of the solvent recycler Use a 3-wheel hydraulic cart to move the machines around the paint area. Must be able to climb ladders (up to 12 feet), stoop, bend, reaching, pulling, walking, kneeling, standing, crouching, and crawling. Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Must be able to mix all paint colors by ratio. Must be able to use dry film thickness gauge after the paint has cured.

Education and Experience:
High School diploma or GED (General Education Degree) One year certificate from college or technical school One to two years painting experience (automotive preferred)
Physical Demands:
The employee is frequently required to walk, use hands/fingers, reach with hands/arms, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to climb/balance on a ladder (up to 12 feet in the air) The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities are required by this job include close vision and color vision.
