Join our dynamic team as a Seal Coating Technician and play a vital role in enhancing the durability and appearance of pavements and surfaces through expert application of seal coating materials. This energetic position involves preparing surfaces, operating specialized equipment, and ensuring high-quality finishes that protect and extend the lifespan of roads, parking lots, and other surfaces. Duties Prepare surfaces by cleaning, repairing cracks, and applying primers to ensure optimal adhesion of seal coating materials Operate power tools, airless paint sprayers, and hand tools to apply seal coats evenly across designated areas Use forklifts, cranes, or other materials handling equipment to transport supplies and equipment safely around job sites Apply seal coating using spray rigs or brushes with precision to achieve smooth, uniform finishes Conduct quality checks using precision measuring instruments to verify coverage and thickness standards Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools, disposing of debris properly, and adhering to safety protocols Collaborate with team members on fabrication or auto body repair tasks as needed for surface preparation or repairs Qualifications Prior experience with construction painting, industrial painting, or auto painting is highly desirable Knowledge of mechanical systems, welding, machining, or fabrication processes is a plus Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, airless paint sprayers, and other equipment safely and effectively Familiarity with forklift operation, crane usage, or warehouse experience is beneficial Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to surface preparation and coating application Understanding of lean manufacturing principles to promote efficiency on job sites Strong attention to detail with the ability to use precision measuring instruments for quality assurance Join us if you're eager to develop your skills in manufacturing environments while contributing to durable surface solutions!
