Role:
The Painter is responsible for preparing surfaces (cleaning, sanding, patching) and applying paint, stain, or coatings to various structures (walls, buildings, bridges) using brushes, rollers, or sprayers, requiring skills in surface prep, color matching, safety, and client communication to protect and beautify surfaces.
What You'll Do:

Surface Preparation:
Painters prepare surfaces for painting by removing old paint, filling holes, washing walls, and priming surfaces to ensure proper adhesion of paint. 2.
Painting:
They apply paint, varnish, and stains using brushes, rollers, or sprayers, ensuring even coverage and a high-quality finish. 3.
Color Mixing:
Painters mix and match paints to achieve desired colors and textures, often consulting with clients to finalize color schemes. 4.
Equipment Maintenance:
They are responsible for maintaining and cleaning painting equipment, including brushes, rollers, and sprayers, to ensure optimal performance. 5.
Safety Compliance:
Painters adhere to safety standards and regulations, ensuring a safe work environment by using protective gear and following proper procedures when working at heights or with hazardous materials. 6.
Collaboration:
They may work with other construction professionals to coordinate tasks and ensure project timelines are met. 7.
Quality Control:
Painters inspect their work for quality and make necessary adjustments to ensure that the final product meets client expectations and industry standards. 8. Other Duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Must have a high school diploma or equivalent. Must be 21 years of age or older. Must possess a minimum of two (2) years' experience in the hospitality industry. Attention to detail. Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods. Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair and maintenance. Ability to work flexible and extended hours as needed, weekends, evenings, holidays. Ability to work in a team environment. Willingness and ability to finish all props regardless of how it is presented (i.e. show drawing, full rendering, hand drawn, etc.) Ability to adapt to ever-changing department environment and needs. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent organizational skills Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
