Warehouse Manager Position Summary The Industrial Paint Supervisor oversees the daily operations of the paint department, ensuring metal products and equipment are properly prepared, coated, and finished in accordance with company quality and safety standards. This position is responsible for supervising paint personnel, coordinating workflow and production schedules, maintaining inventory and equipment, conducting quality inspections, and ensuring compliance with environmental and safety regulations. The Industrial Paint Supervisor works closely with warehouse, production, and management teams to maximize efficiency, maintain product quality, and support operational objectives. Key Responsibilities as a Painter Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the Industrial Painting team. Assign work tasks and prioritize painting projects to ensure deadlines and production schedules are met. Inspect completed work to verify compliance with quality standards, specifications, and customer requirements. Review and approve finished products before release or shipment. Enforce all company safety policies, procedures, and environmental regulations, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Train, mentor, and support painters, including onboarding and development of new employees. Monitor inventory levels of paint, coatings, tools, equipment, and supplies, and coordinate replenishment as needed. Communicate regularly with management regarding project status, production schedules, delays, staffing needs, and operational issues. Troubleshoot production, quality, and equipment-related issues and implement effective solutions. Coordinate maintenance and proper operation of spray equipment, paint systems, and related tools. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe paint department and work environment. Perform hands-on painting, surface preparation, finishing, and inspection work as needed to support production schedules, address staffing shortages, and ensure departmental goals are met.

Support performance management activities, including employee coaching, training, and performance evaluations. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent required. Previous industrial, manufacturing, automotive, commercial, or related painting experience required. Prior supervisory, lead, or team leadership experience preferred. Strong knowledge of industrial painting methods, surface preparation techniques, coatings, and spray-painting equipment. Knowledge of workplace safety standards, OSHA regulations, and proper PPE requirements. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. Effective leadership, coaching, and team-building skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet production deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in warehouse and industrial environments. Reliable attendance and willingness to work overtime as business needs require. Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening. Physical Requirements Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry materials and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds independently and heavier loads with assistance. Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, climb, and reach throughout the workday. Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination required to safely operate spray-painting equipment, hand tools, and related equipment. Ability to work in a warehouse or industrial environment with exposure to dust, paint fumes, noise, and varying temperatures. Ability to wear and properly use all required personal protective equipment (PPE), including respirators, safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, protective clothing, and safety-toe footwear. Ability to distinguish colors and identify coating inconsistencies to ensure quality standards are met. Stamina to perform physically demanding tasks for extended periods while maintaining productivity and attention to detail. Working Conditions This position is performed in a warehouse environment with seasonal temperature fluctuations, frequent exposure to noise, dust, and moving equipment. Shift schedules may include early mornings, late evenings, or weekends depending on business needs.
