Job Description

Industrial Painter Overview First Shift with a family-friendly flexible schedule (start times available at 6:00 AM, 7:00 AM, or 8:00 AM).
Compensation:
$20.00 - $30.00 per hour (depending on experience) Albany, NY - Direct Hire. Job Summary The Industrial Painter is responsible for the surface preparation, coating, and painting of industrial machinery and components. This role ensures all finished products meet strict customer specifications and high-quality standards. This is a full-time, non-exempt hourly position (40 hours/week) with opportunities for overtime based on production needs.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities Surface Prep & Finish:
Sandblast, clean, fill, and paint industrial machinery and heavy components.
Material Mixing:
Mix a wide variety of industrial paints, coatings, and hardeners according to precise technical specifications.
Quality Control:
Inspect finished surfaces to ensure superior quality, detail, and adherence to customer specifications.
Maintenance:
Clean and maintain the paint booth, tools, and spray equipment to ensure safe and proper operation.
Documentation:
Complete required company paperwork to accurately track machine progress through the production cycle.
Safety & Collaboration:
Work safely with minimal supervision, adhering to all safety standards, and collaborate with the manufacturing team.
Reporting:
Reports directly to the Machining & Fabrication Manager.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Experience:
Proven knowledge of mixing and applying a wide variety of industrial paints, hardeners, and coatings.
Environment:
General knowledge of safety and workflows within a heavy manufacturing or job shop environment.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. regularly and stand for the duration of a standard shift.
Core Skills:
Strong attention to detail, good communication, and a self-motivated work ethic.
Equipment:
Forklift experience is a strong plus.
