Job Description

Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Spray Painter to join our dynamic construction and renovation team. In this role, you will be responsible for applying paint with a paint sprayer, coatings, and finishes to various surfaces, ensuring high-quality results that enhance the aesthetic and protective qualities of residential, commercial, and industrial properties. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, from restorations to new constructions, utilizing your skills in surface preparation, color application, and finishing techniques. Responsibilities Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, plastering, caulking, and applying primer to ensure optimal paint adhesion. Apply paint, stain, varnish, and other finishes using hand tools such as brushes, rollers, spray guns (including airless paint spraying), and power tools. Read blueprints and schematics to determine project scope, color schemes based on color theory principles, and specific application requirements. Execute residential painting projects including walls, ceilings, trim carpentry, fixture installation, and restoration work. Perform commercial and industrial painting tasks on construction sites while adhering to safety standards and project timelines. Use construction estimating skills to assess material needs and accurately complete projects within budget constraints. Conduct maintenance tasks such as masonry repairs, stucco application, concrete finishing, welding (where applicable), and masonry work to support renovation efforts. Assist with remodeling projects by supporting carpentry tasks like framing and trim carpentry; collaborate with team members on schematics interpretation for precise execution. Qualifications Proven experience in construction painting with a strong understanding of residential, commercial, and industrial painting techniques. is well trained to use a spray gun. Has a truck to carry equipment in from job to job including latters ranging from 6 feet to 28 feet. Skilled in surface preparation including plastering, caulking (including fixture installation), sanding, and primer application. Familiarity with hand tools such as brushes, rollers, scrapers; experience with power tools including airless sprayers and welding equipment preferred. Ability to read blueprints and schematics accurately; knowledge of construction estimating is a plus. Knowledge of color theory to achieve desired aesthetic effects; experience with restoration or renovation projects highly valued. Basic math skills for measuring surfaces and calculating material quantities; understanding of schematics for project planning. Experience working on construction sites with safety awareness; ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Additional skills such as masonry, stucco application, framing carpentry or handyman experience are advantageous but not mandatory.
