Teknicotes's facilities provide automatic, semi-automatic, and manual coating services in a vast array of finishes. From a small, deep-drawn brass tube to a large, galvanneal sheet metal telecommunications cabinet. Teknicote can provide a protective, high quality, decorative or functional finish on 1 or 1 million units. Offering flexibility, customized service, and modern techniques, Teknicote approaches each job with individualized attention as we have for nearly 50 years. In a job-shop environment, our clients require us to deliver quality parts on time from all of our metal finishing operations. We are looking for a Spray Technician to add to our growing team. In this position, you will paint and produce quality products in a safe environment.
Responsibilities:
Operate or tend powder coating and/or liquid painting equipment to paint surfaces of equipment Load and unload the overhead conveyor Clean machines, related equipment, and work areas using water, solvents, and other cleaning aids Turn dials, hand wheels, valves, or switches to regulate conveyor speeds, machine temperatures, air pressure, circulation, and the flow or spray of coatings or paints Determine paint flow, viscosity, and coating quality by performing visual inspections Observe machine gauges and equipment operation to detect defects or deviations from standards and make adjustments as necessary Fill hoppers, reservoirs, troughs, or pans with materials used to coat, paint, or spray, using conveyors or pails. Start pumps to mix solutions and fill tanks Meet expected productivity goals Assist and cross-train in other areas of the production line, as needed Produce quality products by completing and thoroughly inspecting all paint applied Examine, measure, weigh, and/or test sample products All other duties, as assignedQualifications:
At least 1 year of experience utilizing spraying tools and equipment Attention to detail as well as warehouse experience in a manufacturing environment The ability to wear a respirator and other protective equipment for up to 10 hours The ability to read Technical Data Sheets and implement them exactly as instructed The ability to work in a confined space at warm temperatures The ability to work with a diverse culture to help ways to improve processes, quality, and safety The ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds unassisted The ability to walk, stand or stoop for an entire shift on a concrete floor The ability to exemplify and embrace our BEST values and culture of quality, customer service, safety, and teamWhy BEST:
