These are the qualifications that matter. Experience with industrial painting, powder coating, or wet paint systems . Strong knowledge of coating principles, including adhesion, fisheye correction, and finish quality. Ability to use measuring tools such as viscosity testers and thickness gauges . Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications. Knowledge of paint mixing instructions, coating thickness standards, and color matching. Experience using tools and equipment in an industrial setting. Strong communication skills and team-oriented attitude.Key Responsibilities:
Prepare parts for coating by masking, cleaning, and surface prep. Operate Graco wet paint spray systems to apply industrial coatings to metal and other surfaces. Inspect painted parts for runs, fisheyes, debris, missed areas, gloss level, hardness, and proper mil thickness. Perform touch-up work on defective or incomplete coated surfaces. Inspect, maintain, and replace paint gun components for peak performance. Complete daily maintenance and cleaning of paint booths, hoses, spray heads, hooks, and grids. Replace booth air filters weekly and apply peel-away booth coating monthly. Support daily 5S workplace organization and housekeeping procedures.
