About the
Role:
As a Painter within the manufacturing industry, you will play a critical role in applying high-quality finishes to a variety of products and components, ensuring both aesthetic appeal and protective durability. Your expertise will contribute to the overall production process by preparing surfaces, selecting appropriate materials, and applying coatings with precision and care. This position demands a keen eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining safety and quality standards throughout the painting process. You will collaborate closely with other manufacturing team members to meet production schedules and uphold the company's reputation for excellence. Ultimately, your work will directly impact the visual and functional quality of the finished products delivered to customers across the United States.
Minimum Qualifications:
Proven experience in painting within a manufacturing or industrial setting. Strong manual dexterity and ability to handle tools such as spray guns, brushes, and table saws safely and effectively. Ability to work in a paint booth for extended periods of time Ability to wear a respirator, powered air-purifying respirator (PAPR) for extended periods of time, with medical clearance Ability to interpret and follow detailed instructions and safety guidelines. Valid work authorization to be employed in the United States.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with metal finishing and painting. Familiarity with paint spray techniques related to manufacturing processes. Certification or formal training in industrial painting or coatings application. Experience and ability to wear personal protective equipment and respirator within a confined paint booth. Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while maintaining high quality standards.
Responsibilities:
Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and masking areas as needed to ensure optimal paint adhesion. Operate various painting equipment including spray guns and brushes to apply paints and coatings evenly and efficiently. Inspect finished surfaces for defects or inconsistencies and perform touch-ups or corrections to meet quality standards. Maintain and clean painting tools and equipment to ensure proper functioning and longevity. Collaborate with production and quality control teams to adhere to safety protocols and meet project deadlines.

The required skills such as painting, manual dexterity, and depth perception are essential for accurately applying coatings and ensuring smooth, even finishes on various surfaces. Proficiency with metal finishing allows the painter to prepare and repair surfaces effectively before painting, which is critical for achieving a professional result. Operating tools like table saws and spray painting equipment safely and efficiently is a daily necessity, requiring both technical knowledge and physical coordination. Preferred skills like fiberglass handling and familiarity with advanced painting technologies enhance the painter's versatility and ability to work on specialized projects.
