Woodshop Lock edge/Painter Integrity Trade Services is partnered with a local furniture manufacturer to hire a Lock edge/Paint Technician to join our team in Cameron, TX. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity, hourly rate depending on experience. The ideal candidate should have experience in paint and primer mixing, blueprint reading, and equipment maintenance. If you have strong attention to detail, mechanical skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, we want to hear from you!
Responsibilities:
Paint and primer mixing experience Follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) Maintain attention to detail in all aspects of the job Operate a tape measure and perform preventive maintenance on equipment Identify different colors for color matching Perform quality control checks Identify types of CORE (wood) materials used Complete required respiratory tests and wear a respiratory mask for extended periods Work in high-temperature environments (100-120°F) Adhere to all safety procedures, including wearing required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
Requirements:
Minimum of 1 year of paint experience (industrial, manufacturing, or auto body preferred) Experience with blueprint reading Ability to read job tickets in English (some cheat sheets available) Mechanically inclined with the ability to use a tape measure Problem-solving abilities Able to work well with others and maintain a positive attitude Strong work ethic and reliable transportation Able to pass a respiratory test and wear a mask for extended periods Must be able to withstand high temperatures (100-120°F) Must follow all safety procedures, including
PPE Must Have:
Excellent work ethic Positive attitude and ability to work with others Be on time with a reliable transportation plan Ability to multitask, be detail oriented, and self-motivated Must be able to thoroughly inspect Items per procedures (ensure quality) Have the ability communicate effectively with management and team members Member will have the ability to install, stage, and move materials down and assembly line Must be able to work in a team environment or as an individual as needed Lift up to but not limited to 50 pounds and moving, pushing, pulling heavy material on a regular basis.
