In this role, you will perform high-quality refinishing work on collision-damaged components and assemblies while maintaining productivity, safety, and quality standards. This is an in-person, full-time opportunity for a skilled painter who can work independently and deliver consistent results in a fast-paced shop environment. Key Responsibilities Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Mix paint and other refinishing materials accurately to minimize waste.
- Tint colors to achieve an accurate match to the vehicle's existing finish.
- Apply primer, sealer, basecoat, and clearcoat to vehicle components and assemblies.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Keep paint booth and related equipment clean and in proper working condition.
- Assist with vehicle preparation and support team members as needed.
- Follow all standard operating procedures, hazardous waste disposal requirements, and safety protocols.
- Support the development and improvement of shop processes when needed.
- Read and verify work orders to ensure all refinishing work is completed accurately.
- Perform quality control checks on every vehicle before and after paint application.
- Create a spray-out card for each vehicle to confirm color and obtain required approval.
- Ensure all required parts are painted within the same booth cycle whenever possible.
- Monitor material inventory and communicate replenishment needs before shortages occur.
- Attend shop meetings and maintain reliable attendance in accordance with company policy.
- Consistently meet production expectations, including completing assigned work orders on schedule. Qualifications The ideal candidate will bring the following knowledge and skills:
- Hands-on knowledge of PPG refinish products, including proper use and application techniques.
- Experience using an automotive refinish mixing system, including scale and software operation.
- Strong color-matching and tinting skills for automotive refinishing.
- Proven ability to apply automotive refinish materials with high-quality results.
- Ability to identify and correct surface defects in applied finishes.
- Basic computer and data entry skills related to paint systems and shop processes. Preferred Education and Certifications (not required) The following education and credentials are preferred for this role:
- Certificate or degree in automotive collision repair and refinishing.
- I-CAR Professional Development Program Level 1 or higher.
- Paint manufacturer training and certification. Required Experience Candidates should have at least three years of professional auto painting experience. This position is intended for an experienced painter and does not provide entry-level training for the role. Work Environment This role is performed in an active collision repair environment and may include the following conditions:
- Work may be performed both indoors and outdoors in hot, cold, humid, or dry conditions.
- Personal protective equipment is frequently required to prevent exposure to hazardous materials.
- Overtime and weekend work may be required based on business needs.
- The work environment is frequently loud. Physical Demands This position requires the ability to:
- Communicate clearly in person and in writing.
- Stand and walk for extended periods of time.
- Bend, kneel, and squat frequently throughout the workday.
- Use hands to handle tools, equipment, and small components with precision.
- Reach with hands and arms and perform repetitive motion as needed.
- Lift and move up to 75 pounds or more on a frequent basis.
- Use close vision, distance vision, and color vision effectively.
- Work with a computer monitor and digital paint system when required. This is a full-time position offering the following:

- Ability to reliably commute to or relocate to Euless, TX 76040 before starting work.
- At least three years of auto painting experience is required.
- Experience with PPG automotive paint systems is strongly preferred.
