Responsibilities and Duties:

Abrade surfaces of metal or hard composition objects to remove adhering scale, sand, paint, grease, tar, rust, and dirt, and to impart specified finish. Select premixed paints, or mixes required portions of pigment, oil, and thinning and drying substances to prepare paint that matches specified colors. Shovel or pour abrasives such as sand, grit, or shot of specified grade into machine hopper. Clean grease, rust, and dirt from product; wash surfaces prior to painting; sandblast parts to prepare for painting; apply masking tape over parts and areas that are not to be coated.

Qualifications:

- Ability to follow detailed instructions - both written and verbal Must be able to keep records of work performed Must be punctual and ready to work at start of shift Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time Required to lift up to 50 lbs.
