Paid Sick Time Join Our Team as a Painter at Epiroc! Painters are responsible for applying high-quality industrial coatings to various surfaces, ensuring durability, appearance, and compliance with company standards. This includes surface preparation, priming, and painting while maintaining a safe, clean, and organized work environment. The role requires a strong focus on precision, efficiency, and continuous improvement to support production goals and deliver consistent product quality.
Clean, sand, and prime surfaces to ensure proper paint adhesion.
Paint Application:
Apply coatings using spray equipment, rollers or brushes while maintaining consistency and quality.
Color Matching:
Mix and match paints to meet specifications and ensure uniformity.
Equipment Maintenance:
Maintain painting tools and equipment for optimal performance.
Safety Compliance:
Follow OSHA and company safety guidelines, including proper ventilation and handling of hazardous materials.
Quality Control:
Inspect finished work to ensure adherence to company standards and customer expectations. Detect and report defective materials.
Inventory Management:
Keep track of paint supplies and request replenishments as needed.
Collaboration:
Work with other departments to ensure timely completion of projects.
Knowledge/Education:
High School Diploma or GED Required
Minimum 2+ years of Experience Required
Required to read, write and comprehend English
Knowledge of finish painting, sanding, and masking methods and techniques, test procedures, and equipment maintenance
Knowledge of safe working practices in a manufacturing environment
Able to use and comprehend specifications, blueprints, and schematics
Knowledge of mechanical components/systems
Computer skills including MS Office, ERP Systems, Jira, etc.
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing
Knowledge of safe rig operation
Must be able to use gauges, measuring devices
Requires the use of judgment to apply finish coat(s) and trim to finished drilling rigs.
Must know how to plan work sequences, apply colors, carry out prescribed tests, adjust, diagnose and correct faulty operations.
