Pay:
$17.00 - $22.00 per hour DOE Day & Night Shifts Available Job Summary Apache Workforce is seeking a skilled and dependable Industrial Painter to join our team in Houston, TX. This position is responsible for preparing, coating, painting, and finishing metal enclosures, control panels, and fabricated components to meet quality and appearance standards. The ideal candidate will have experience with industrial painting processes, surface preparation, spray equipment, and quality inspections. Essential Job Duties Prepare metal surfaces by grinding, sanding, cleaning, and removing grease, rust, scale, and dirt Set up and operate industrial painting equipment Apply primers, paints, lacquers, enamels, sealers, and protective coatings to metal products Mix paints, thinners, and chemicals according to specifications Monitor paint viscosity and coating quality using visual inspection and measuring tools Operate spray guns and adjust equipment to achieve proper coverage and finish quality Verify paint colors and finish requirements using shop drawings and production documents Strip, sand, mask, repaint, blend, and polish surfaces as needed Spray foam insulation and undercoating when required Install accessories such as windows, door panes, handles, drains, and related components when needed Operate lifting and material-handling equipment safely Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment Follow all company safety procedures and quality standards Minimum Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required Minimum 1 year of industrial painting, coating, or finishing experience required Experience operating spray guns and industrial painting equipment preferred Ability to perform basic math and measurements Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Strong problem-solving and analytical skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship Ability to pass a physical, drug screen, driving record review, and background check Ability to lift, push, and pull 75 pounds or more Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift Ability to work at heights above six feet Ability to work in enclosed spaces and high-temperature environments for extended periods Ability to wear a full-face respirator or ventilation mask for extended periods Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality Preferred Qualifications Experience painting metal enclosures, industrial equipment, or fabricated products Experience with surface preparation, masking, and finish polishing Knowledge of industrial coatings, primers, and paint application techniques Why Join Apache Workforce?
